Schaumburg, IL, USA – Global technology association ISACA installed its 2020-2021 Board of Directors at its virtual Annual General Meeting today, combining the rich expertise of leaders with experience in the association and from a range of industry backgrounds in its dynamic board slate. Joining the ISACA board of directors will be Gerrard Schmid, President and CEO of Diebold Nixdorf, one of the world’s largest fintech companies.

Schmid has more than 25 years of corporate experience and been actively involved in leading technology-focused public companies for almost a decade. In his role as president and CEO of Diebold Nixdorf, he leads a company that is both the world’s largest provider of highly secure hardware, software and services solutions for ATMs, as well as a leader in Europe in retail point-of-sale and self-checkout solutions, operating in more than 60 countries globally.
He has experience in executing broad transformations, building deep global leadership teams, accelerating growth and innovation, and managing risk and change, and brings a strong board-level view of crisis management, cybersecurity, information security and governance to the ISACA Board. He holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Toronto and is based in Toronto, Canada.
